Weekend in Paris

Hello, everyone. We spent the 4-day Memorial Day weekend in Paris. The sights, the food - everything was awesome. Paris is easily our favorite city we've visited so far.

The weather was great so we were able to walk around A LOT and work off some of the food. We spent our first day at the Louvre and Latin quarter checking out some of the places mentioned in 'The DaVinci Code' and walked from the Louvre through Tuileries, up the Champs-Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe.

We got an early start on Saturday to make our way up the Eiffel Tower. Our hope was to walk ALL the way up, 1652 steps. Unfortunately, you are only allowed to walk up to the second platform, 668 steps; from there we rode the elevator with everyone else. A word of advice: get there early, and don't stand in the huge lines for the elevator; walk up to the second platform and ride from there to the top. I swear some of the people waiting in the elevator line were there before we started, and were there when we finished. After conquering the Eiffel Tower, we ate lunch in the Latin Quarter and walked to Notre Dame. Saturday night we splurged on a nice dinner out and then went to see the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe in their nightly splendor.

Sunday we spent most of the day gaping at the Sacre Coeur and walking through Montmartre shopping for some affordable art work...which we found.

We had a great time and took over 100 pictures. I've posted a handful of the pictures below and I'll try to post the rest on Yahoo or MSN later. I'll put up a post with the link when/if that happens.
