Shelly's family visit

Brain and Vicki flew back to the States on Tuesday and arrived safely, just a bit tired. Everyone arrived on the 17th and we kept them up all day with a trip to Heidelberg so that they could get adjusted to the time change.

On the 18th we drove to Garmish, a resort town sitting at the base of the Alps with views of the Zugspitz - Germany's highest point. While we were in Garmish we took the family to the summit of the Zugspitz, toured King Ludwig's castles and made a trip into Munich to see the sights. We departed Garmish on the 22nd and drove to Salzburg where we toured the salt mines, Hitler's Eagles Nest and some of Salzburg.

It was nice to get some visitors and show them around Germany. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed all the sights. We wish everyone could have seen more but it's hard to see a lot in one week and not wear everyone out in the process.

Here are a few pictures from the visit...
